Moving here I knew was in bird territory. You cant live opposite a green strip known for its bird nesting without realizing that some of the droppings will hit your life. I also expected to have to fight off the pigeons, and if I hadnt, looking at the neighbour renovated rooftop would have warned me: there are anti pigeon needles all around the edges of the rooftop.
One fact I didnt know before moving in, was that all the windows on the East side of the apartment facing the alley, have unmovable blinds. They are nailed to the window, you can only lever them open and shut. No waving a magic wand or broom through them towards the landing doves. The bathroom window has glass shutters which dont allow you to chase pigeons without banging on and breaking glass – so there is no surprise that there seems to be a nest just above my bedroom/bathroom windows.
Weeks ago I booked a pigeon remover who called in with a good reason to postpone and I never heard back.
Today I have a new guy coming , with a Green Agenda – does that mean he doesn’t poison the pigeons in the park?
Honestly, he is going to have to do away with the tiny little fleas that are flying in through the closed glass slats of the bathroom and bugging me in the shower. Can he exterminate them without harming the environment? I hope so. I want no more pigeon nests and no more flea bites and I hope I dont have to put anti pigeon needles on the entire rooftop, its green but SO EXPENSIVE !!!
